Install the Extension
To install Split’s Chrome Extension, visit this link (spl.it/chromeextension) and tap the blue “Add to Chrome” button.
Sign into the Extension
To sign in, simply tap on the extension and use the Instagram, Facebook or Email option to create (or log into) your Split account.
Turn on Auto-Shop
Auto-Shop is a feature that helps make sure you can earn cash back on purchases even without having to touch a single button. There are two main ways you can enable this feature:
1. Tap on the extension, select the “settings gear” icon in the top right corner of the extension menu, and check the box labeled “Enable Auto-Shop”
2. Alternatively, you can enable Auto-Shop without the need to go into settings by simply (a) visiting any Network Retailer site (Walmart.com, for instance) (b) clicking on the “Tap Here To Enable Commissions” popup that appears in the top right corner (c ) and finally, enabling Auto-Shop when prompted via the next popup that appears in the same spot (upper right hand corner)
Once enabled, all you have to do to start a cash-back shopping session is simply visit a Network Retailer and shop as usual!
Check cash back (Commission) rates
Curious to know which sites pay cash back and which ones don’t? Want to know which ones pay the highest rates? Well, finding out is as simple as (1) conducting a normal Google search and (2) scrolling through the search results to see which ones show a “Commission Rate” associated with them.
Redeem your cash in Split’s app
Once you’ve earned some decent scratch, open up the extension menu and tap the “Cash Out Now” button. This will take you into Split’s Web App, from which you can execute a redemption via PayPal, Gift Card or Charitable Donation!
